Pacific Red Octopus (Octopus rubescens)

Shingle Bay ocean access - Pender Island. 45' deep, 25cm long. What a treat, only the 3rd octopus I have seen off Pender in 8 years. The Pacific Red has small fleshy flaps under the eyes that differentiate them from the Giant Pacific.
