Welcome to the Pender Islands (British Columbia, Gulf Islands) Marine Species Identification Project.  The purpose of this multi-year project is to photograph, identify and present as many unique marine species as possible found around the Pender Islands as well as from other BC Gulf Islands. It is our hope that by documenting the incredible biodiversity of life in our waters for you, a respect and support for marine conservation and local marine protected area initiatives will be created.  Everyone's conservation efforts are required to ensure that all the marine species can survive in the future.
